
GHTA Action Groups
The GHTA would love for you to become an active member of the association.. Below you will find various opportunities where you might be able to offer assistance based upon your interests and expertise. GHTA Action Groups are comprised of volunteer members and led by a chairperson along with a board member liaison. Each Action Group has identified a need within the industry and works to address that need, with Board approval.
The GHTA encourages you to participate in an Action Group(s), as your input is vital to the industry at-large.
Data Collection: Aims to generate new industry data or mine existing data to the overall benefit of the GHTA membership and industry-at-large (trends, statistics, etc.). Assist with creation of strategy to collect data, locate collaborative partners and publish findings.
Education: To standardize industry education for sales people, sales agencies and vendors alike.
Branding Action Group: The GHTA Industry Branding Action Group is committed to branding the industry's independent retailers as the destination for unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and home accessories for consumers, with the ultimate goal of increasing traffic and sales at independent retailers, and thus ensuring the health and viability of the gift and home industry.
Membership, Recruitment, Benefits: The purpose of the group is to continue to build the membership of GHTA, while working to enhance the membership retention rate, while adding value through benefits.
Retail Advisory Board: The Retail Advisory Board (RAB), consisting of leading retailers from across the country, is the official liaison of retailers to the GHTA. The Retail Advisory Board provides input regarding issues facing the GHTA and the industry, is the retailer education arm of GHTA and fosters dialog between the GHTA members and retailers.

Public Policy: The Public Policy Action Group works to create awareness of issues impacting the gift and home industry. It is the role of a trade organization to be aware of issues impacting our industry, research vital information and then share it with the membership.
