The GHTA Action Groups are comprised of volunteer members, led by a chairperson with a board member liaison. Each Action Group has identified a need within the industry and works to address that need, with Board approval.

The GHTA encourages its members to become active in an Action Group(s), as your input is vital to the industry at-large.

The Data Collection Group aims to generate new industry data, or mine existing data, to the overall benefit of the GHTA membership and industry-at-large (trends, statistics, etc.). It assists with creation of strategy to collect data, locate collaborative partners and publish findings (ex. Brandwise Gift and Home Index).

The GHTA Industry Branding Action Group is committed to branding the industry's independent retailers as the destination for unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and home accessories for consumers, with the ultimate goal of increasing traffic and sales at independent retailers, and thus ensuring the health and viability of the gift and home industry. It’s latest initiative is the Independent Retailer Resource Center, a website for independent retailers. Click here.

The Retailer Committee, headed by Mary Liz Curtin, acts as the "ears and voice" of GHTA retailers --- both current and future. The Committee provides valuable insight into retailer issues facing the industry and fosters dialogue between vendors, sales agencies, service providers and retailers.

The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) is proud to announce the establishment of its Scholarship Fund.  The Scholarship Fund was unveiled at the 2010 GHTA Annual Conference in New Orleans recognizing industry leader and friend Dave Moore with an inaugural gift to start the fund’s growth.

The GHTA scholarship fund is devoted to the enhancement of leadership and business development skills in young students.  It provides funds to enable participation in a variety of activities from classes to retreats and conferences. It may be used for tuition, fees, or books, as long as certain requirements are met. For more details, click here.
